101 Small Pleasures

I recently read an article on yahoo that was talking about life's small pleasures.  I enjoyed reading it, so I thought you all might like it too.  It will make you smile!  I bolded some of the ones that were pleasures of mine...and added on a few at the end too.  Add some of your own!


  1. coloring (yes, grown-ups can do it, too)
  2. crisp cotton sheets
  3. soft skin
  4. old family recipes
  5. the first daffodils of spring
  6. sleeping in
  7. an exercise endorphin high
  8. window boxes
  9. a perfect cup of coffee
  10. a genuine compliment (giving or receiving)

Great list! One of my favorite things is crawling into bed on a cold night after moving Abby (our dog) from my side of the bed and the sheets having been warmed for me by her. My own personal heater! Another one is smelling the air right before the snow starts and then the absolute silence outside on a cold, snowy night. Love you!!! Mrs. Linda

Agreed - that is a GREAT list! I love the feeling you having leaving work on a sunny, Friday afternoon! There's nothing like just starting your weekend! By the way - I do love the smell of gasoline! Haha! Love you! Kristen
